The Nürburgring is located around the village of Nürburg in Germany. It has a length of 5,148 km and 16 turns. It is the venue for the German Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Nürburgring features a Grand Prix race track and the very long North track (Nordschleife). The North track has an amazing length of 20,8 km with 154 turns and is primarily used as a test track. This is also one of the most famous features of Nürburgring along with the Veedol chicane, which offers spectacular overtaking opportunities. Another well known feature is the omega-shaped curve called Mercedes Arena, which was added in 2002 to increase the challenge level and speed.
Besides the German Grand Prix, Nürburgring also hosts the German World Superbike round and Superleague Formula. |
